Release Information

Leef Browser follows a rapid release cycle. Stable builds are thoroughly tested for daily use, but you can also get it from GitHub and check our source code. We want to be completely open about how everything works.

Why are macOS & Linux versions sometimes behind? We are a small team of two, and we want to be completely transparent. Building and thoroughly testing across multiple operating systems takes time. Rather than rush out half-baked builds, we take the time needed to get them right for every platform. Windows will generally have the most up-to-date releases while we work to ensure parity across macOS and Linux. We appreciate your patience!

System Requirements

  • Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
  • macOS 11.0 or later
  • Any Linux distribution supporting AppImage (64-bit)
  • Minimum 4GB RAM recommended
  • Note: Native ARM support is not planned; Apple Silicon is supported via Rosetta 2.
